Harley Davidson 883 Roadster comes under the Harley Davidson Sportsters Variant. The sportster is a line of motorcycles produced continuously since 1957 by the Harley Davidson Motor Company. Sportster models are designated in Harley’s-Davidson product code by beginning with “XL”. Harley Davidson 883 Roadster comes with a price tag of Rs. 7.65 lakhs (Ex-showroom) in New Delhi. The engine of this cruiser Roadster is same as of Harley Davidson IRON and Harley Davidson Superlow.
The engine of Harley Davidson 883 Roadster can produce a maximum displacement of 883 cc with a maximum torque of 69Nm @3500 rpm. The bore and stroke of the bike is 76.2mm and 96.8mm respectively. The classic Harley Davidson engines are V-Twin engines, each with a 45 degree angle between the cylinders. The crankshaft has a single pin, and both pistons are connected to this pin through their connecting roads. The compression ratio of the bike is 9:1. The fuel system of the bike is electronic sequential port fuel injection (ESPFI) type and the lubrication system is done by dry-sump. The overall performance of the brake is quite impressive. Wide radial tyres with dimensions 100/90B19 57H (Front) and 150/80B16 77H (Rear) works very well.
